NHPS Foundation Awards Mini-Grants

The New Haven Public School Foundation awarded over $25,000 in Mini-Grants to New Haven's public schools at a reception held on October 22, 2008 at Sage Restaurant in New Haven. Grants ranging from $500 to $1500 were awarded to support special projects and innovative programs that will enhance student achievement or provide cultural enrichment during the school year.
The Mini-Grant program was made possible through the generous support of:

New Haven Public School Foundation Board of Directors
The New Haven Public School Foundation launched it's Mini-Grant program last year for the 2007-2008 academic year and awarded over $10,000.
The Mini-Grant program was designed to support the school district's Bold Goals for academic achievement. Teachers, parents, librarians and other school personnel are invited to apply for the grants once per year. The NHPS Foundation's Mini-Grant Committee, chaired by Helene Robbins of Wachovia Bank, selects recipients.
